Portage resident Linda Pollock, 66, the mother of a Chesterton resident,
died Monday, July 6, 2009, in Michigan City.
She was born Dec. 25, 1942, in Gary.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Pollock of Portage; her mother, Mary
Pauline (Dick) Carpenter of Portage; children, Deborah Vespo of Chesterton,
and Mary Myers, Charles L. Pollock Jr., Mark E. Pollock, and Frederick Jason
(Tamara) Pollock, all of Portage; a brother, James Granville Carpenter Jr.;
sisters, Paulette Burket and Barbara (Charles) Silkwood; grandchildren,
Brandon (Liz), John, Steven, Ryan, Marissa, Amanda, and Jason Jr.; and
great-grandchildren, Justice and Abigale.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Granville Carpenter.
Linda was a lifelong area resident.
Funeral services, the Rev. Kendall Nickell officiating, are scheduled for 1
p.m. Friday, July 10, at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941
Central Ave. in Portage, with burial to follow at McCool Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Edmonds & Evans.
