Dr. Carolyn T. Beyer Pearson of Porter died on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 at her
residence. She was 74.
Born on November
27, 1934 in Huntington, W. Va., she was the daughter of Robert B. and Effie
M. (Sadler) Thomas. On July 15, 1978 in Chesterton, she married Edwin
Pearson.
A doctor of
osteopathy in private practice, Carolyn is survived by daughter Mary Riecke
(husband Tom) of Fort Wayne; grandchildren Christopher Riecke (wife Kristin)
of Fayetteville, Ga., Nathan Riecke of Scottsdale, Ariz., Gina Riecke of
North Hollywood, Calif., and Janelle Riecke of Fort Wayne; friends, care
givers and travel companions Brenda and Carl Snearly; and many friends and
former patients in and around the Chesterton area.
She was preceded
in death by her parents and husband Edwin.
A memorial
service will be held on Friday, Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral
Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, with Pastor Elizabeth Terrill officiating.
Memorial visitation will be held on Friday from noon until the time of
services at 1 p.m. Memorials for Carolyn may be made to either Camp Jenee
