Patrick Pomeroy dies at 42

Patrick A. Pomeroy, age 42, of Chesterton, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 in Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus very unexpectedly.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 30, 1966 the son of Chloris E. and Michele A. (Sullivan) Pomeroy, Jr., both of whom survive.

Patrick is survived by his sons, Garrett Patrick Pomeroy and Dylan Reede Pomeroy (and their mother, Colleen Pomeroy); daughter, Meagan Martinez; sisters, Kristie Pomeroy, Heidi Lemans (Butch), Denise LaMar, Lisa Martin (Tom), and Julia Berger; grandfather, Chloris E. Pomeroy, Sr.; and grandson, Nathan Casler.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Jim Brown; brother, Robert Brown; and sister, Maryann McNeely.

Patrick graduated from Plymouth-Canton High School in 1984 and then attended Design School in Flint, Michigan. He was a graphic designer and a loving father, son and brother.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 17 in the funeral home. Cremation will follow.

Donations may be made for his children’s future education.
