Michael A. Jones, age 45, of Chesterton, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at his residence.

He was born in Hammond, on March 17, 1964 the son of Charles and Edith Jones. His mother survives in Porter.

On June 5, 1993 in Griffith, he married Diana Szczechowiak, who survives in Porter.

Michael is also survived by sons; Mathew Koch of Porter; William and Daniel Jones, both of Porter, and Steven Jones of Champaign, Ill.; daughter Amanda Jones of Champaign, Ill.; sister Charlotte Jones of Nashville, Tenn. and granddaughter Brianna Hood.

Michael worked as a sales manager for Quick Auto and enjoyed H.O. train modeling, music and attending concerts with friends. He was a loving husband, father and friend.

A funeral service, Pastor Bob Burton officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Cremation will be at Heritage Crematory, Portage.

A visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday, April 3, at the funeral home.
