Harold E. Weller, 73, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at
the VNA Hospice Center.
He was born September 20, 1935 in Palmyra, Ill. the son of Earl and Helen
(Tucker) Weller.
On June 7, 1964 in Lincoln, Ill. he married Susan Brown, who survives.
He is also survived by their three children, Jennifer (Ronald) Powers of
East Lansing, Mich., Michelle (Jason) Bostic of Montgomery, Ala. and Brian
Weller of Chicago, Ill.; a sister Ruth (John) Waltrip of Jacksonville, Ill.
and three grandchildren, Ruby Rose Powers, Ethan and Emmelyne Bostic.
Harold graduated from Palmyra High School and Lincoln Christian College. He
had served as Minister at Central Christian Church in Valparaiso for 22
years then ministered at First Christian Church in Chesterton where he was
currently a member.
A funeral service, Minister Lynn Laughlin officiating, will be at 10:30 a.m.
Friday, April 10 at First Christian Church of Chesterton. Interment will
follow at Angelcrest Cemetery. Harold will be fondly remembered for his love
of the ministry, the caring way in which he engaged everyone he encountered
and his desire to help all.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 9 at Moeller Funeral Home,
104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso.
