Porter resident Brigitte K. Talbot, 73, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at the University of Chicago Hospital.

She was born June 1, 1936, in Leipzip, Germany, the daughter of Herman and Anna Mersaburger, who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Talbot.

She is survived by her daughter, Johanne Alarcon of Porter; and grandchildren Alessandra Alarcon of San Diego, Calif., and Natalie Alarcon and Aramis Solis, both of Porter.

Brigitte moved here from San Diego six years ago. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and knitting. She loved her family and friends and her grandson was the light of her life.

No services are scheduled. Cremation was at Heritage Crematory in Portage. Arrangements were under the direction of Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway in Chesterton.
