Virginia Lee Andricks (nee Lenington), age 79, of Chesterton, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008 at the VNA Horton Hospice Center in Valparaiso. Virginia was a longtime area resident of Chesterton.

She was born on Feb. 27, 1929 in Perry City, Ill., the daughter of James and Anna (Houghland) Lenington, both of whom preceded her in death.

On Aug. 20, 1953 in Kewanee, Ill., she married Steve Andricks, who preceded her in death in 1992.

She is survived by her loving family: sons, Steve (Gina) Andricks of Valparaiso, Randy (Liz) Andricks of Bradenton, Fla., and Greg (Cheryl) Andricks of Valparaiso; a daughter, Debbie Witmer of Chesterton; grandchildren, Adam, Danielle, Barry, Dustin, Trey and Tim Andricks and Kelsey Witmer; and great grandchildren, Hadyn and Vivian Casler. She is also survived by sisters, Betty Hodge of Kewanee, Ill. and Patricia (Jack) Baker of DuQuoin, Ill. and many other loving family members and friends.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Lester and Leslie Robinson and William James and Kenneth Lenington; sisters, Verna Decker and Juanita Runion.

Virginia was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 24 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be by Heritage Crematory, Portage. Interment of the ashes will take place at a later date at Mueller Hill Cemetery in Pinckneyville, Ill. www.ee-fh.com
