Robert Buchwalter, formerly of Chesterton, died April 7, 2008 in Hoover, Ala. He was 65.

He was born Nov. 1942 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Simon and Marquarite Buchwalter, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by one brother, Larry and three sons, Bob, Pete and Jim.

He was a long time body man in Chesterton and supervisor for U.S. Steel. He was a proud U.S. Marine.
