Richard Lynn Isaacson dies at 69

Richard Isaacson, 69, of Chesterton, passed away at home Sunday, July 20, 2008.

He is survived by his wife Donna of 43 years.

He is also survived by daughters, Elissa Macias, Malinda (Michael) Nicola, son, Bryan (Sue) Isaacson; three grandchildren, Jeremy, Charles and Tia; three great-grandchildren, Nara, A.J. and Ethan; sisters, Marlene (Art) Bartholomew, Karen Bosse, Patsy (Bruce) VanDemeer, Darlene Conway and Linda (Jim) Bruns.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Carl and a brother, Charles.

Richard was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Otis. He served in the U.S. Army, Air-Borne Division and was a member of N.W. Indiana Early Ford V-8 Club of Highland for 34 years. He was passionate about his grandchildren and antique cars. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 23 at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, (2 Blocks south of Cemetery). A prayer service, Dr. Peter Scaer officiating, will be at 7 p.m. Cremation will follow.
