Michelle 'Micki' Singer dies at 50

Michelle “Micki” Singer, of Chesterton, passed away Monday, December 15, 2008, at her home in Chesterton.

She was born June 15, 1958 in Gary, the daughter of Charles R. Danielson, who preceded her in death.

On December 22, 1984 in Lake Station, she married Mark C. Singer, who survives in Chesterton.

She is also survived by three children, Angelise (Chuck) Berntsen, of Houston, Texas, Jeremy M. Singer, of Portage and Alexander M. Singer of Chesterton; mother and step-father, Billie Lou and Franklin D. Mitchell, of Celestine; six grandchildren; two sisters, Cheryl (Skylar) Arney, of Burns Harbor and Radine (Donald) Oden of Eva, Alaska; one brother, Chris Danielson, of Chesterton; two brothers-in-law, Michael (Nancy) Singer, of Indianapolis and Kevin (Sandy) Singer, of Chesterton; one sister-in-law, Beth (Stewart) Blythe, of Ft. Wayne.

She was also preceded in death by her father Charles, a brother, James and mother and father-in-law, Winnie and Fred Singer.

Micki was a member of the Women of the Moose in Chesterton and was a custodian and worked in the kitchen with the Duneland School Corporation for 24 years of service. She loved the outdoors, especially watching and feeding the birds, gardening and landscaping. She also loved to fish.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. Interment will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18 at White-Love Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given in her memory to the Lupus Foundation of Porter County.
