Mary Rose, of Gary, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008. She was 90.

She was the daughter of Peter and Rose Stevenson, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Rose. Sr.

She is survived by a son, Richard (late Dorothy) Rose Jr. of Merrillville; a daughter, Mary (late Rocky) LaRocca of Lake Charles, La.; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, two sisters, Katherine (Gerald) Ricketts and Patricia Schmitz, both of Crown Point; her dog, Casey, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by a son, Ronald; two grandsons, Daniel and Richard Michael Rose.

Mary was employed in the cafeteria at Lew Wallace School and worked as a cook at Meadowbrook Lounge. She was loved by many and will always be missed.

Funeral service, Rev. Andrew Corona officiating will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rendina Funeral Home, 5100 Cleveland St., Merrillville. Interment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
