Marilyn Jean (nee Isbey) Carlson, of Chesterton, passed away at her residence on Monday April 7, 2008. She was 78. Marilyn was born on June 2, 1929 in Chesterton, to Oliver A. and Lorene (Hall) Isbey both of whom preceded her in death She married William James Carlson who preceded her on Feb. 18, 1993. She is survived by sons Rick A. (Pamela) Carlson of Chesterton, Randal K. Carlson of Chesterton, John A. (Rita) Carlson of Portage, daughter Roxanne J. Lee of Hobart, daughter-in-law Sandy Carlson, son-in-law Roy Bruce, brothers Ronald K. (Cherry) Isbey of Washington, James (Deloris) Isbey of Chesterton, Kay R. Copollo of Porter; 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by sons Terry W. and Billy J. Carlson, a daughter, Nancy K. Bruce and a grandson, Shawn Carlson. Marilyn collected dolls and antiques and loved her home. A memorial service, Rev. Britt Leslie officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at Porter United Methodist Church 100 Beam Street, Porter, Cremation will be at Heritage Crematory, Portage. Arrangements were handled by Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Chesterton, IN.
