Joseph Kimmel Leffe dies at 58

Joseph Kimmel Leffel, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, formerly of Chesterton, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008 with his son Jeremiah the result of an accident in the Yukon Territory, Canada.

He was born June 22, 1949 in Wabash, the son of Herman J. and Mary Weeks Leffel, both of whom preceded him in death.

He married Emily McCoy at Salmon River, Idaho. She survives in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Joe is also survived by a son, Joseph K. Leffel II of Bloomington; a daughter, Jennifer Leffel (Stephen) Murphy, of Douglasville, Ga.; three grandchildren, Scarlett Murphy, Tate Murphy and Curtis Murphy, all of Douglasville, Ga.; a brother Bruce (Nadine) Leffel, of Austin, Texas.

As per Joe’s wishes, no formal funeral service or visitation will be held. Cremation has taken place in the Yukon Territory, Canada.

Joe’s family and friends are welcome to visit his family at both the visitation and funeral service for his son Jeremiah. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 1 and the funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at White-Love Funeral Home.
