Jerry Arthur Musgrave dies at 66

Jerry Arthur Musgrave, of Chesterton, passed away at his residence on January 11, 2008. He was 66.

Jerry was married Nov. 8, 1974 to Linda Ruth Musgrave, who preceded him in death in 1987.

He is survived by children, Kristy (Adam) Beckett of Chesterton, Benjamin Comer of York, S.C., Keenan (Christina) Comer of Porter, and Lauralee (Richard) Strohl of North Judson; brothers, Jim Musgrave, Jack Musgrave and Walt Musgrave all of Chesterton; sisters, Jean Musgrave of Chesterton, Jan (Ivan) Rippe of Wanatah, and Mary Kirby of Wis.; grandchildren, Lindsay and Regena Beckett of Chesterton, Tanaya and Cheyanne Comer of Porter, Jeremy (Sara) Moehl of Va., Jason Strohl of North Judson and Michael Coslet of Porter; great-grandchild, Phoenix of Va. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda, brothers, Richard and Cleon Musgrave, sisters, Judy Musgrave, Sally Musgrave and Norma Wixon and a grandchild, Amber Strohl.

Jerry was retired from the Porter County Highway Department. He served in the US Army 1967-1973. He enjoyed watching football and car races, deer hunting, motorcycle riding and working on cars.

Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Interment will be at Chesterton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 16 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home.
