Jerilyn Esslinger service set

Jerilyn Esslinger of Winimac, Ind., formerly of Lake Station, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Starke Memorial Hospital in Knox. She was 61.

Born in Gary on January 31, 1947, she was the daughter of George A. & Fern (Thompson) Coslet. On Dec. 1, 1963 at Augsburg Lutheran Church in Porter, she married Arthur C. Esslinger II, who preceded her in death in 2007.

She is survived by her daughters, Shannon Mengedoht (husband Carl) of Knox and Gretchen Schafer of Lake Station; sisters JoAnn Burton of Chesterton and Judith Rumbut of Hobart; grandchildren Ashley M. Esslinger and  Robert A. Esslinger.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother Lynn George Coslet.

Jerilyn was a homemaker who enjoyed scrapbooking and playing bingo. She belonged to a CB club, loved shopping, and enjoyed her family above all else.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, with Rev. Erik Bernth officiating.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Graveside interment service will take place on Thursday, Nov. 20,   at Mt. Zion-Franklin Twp. Cemetery in Winamac at 10 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST). www.EE-FH.com
