Jeannette Wigley dies at 76

Jeannette M. Wigley, age 76, of Chesterton, formerly of Munster and Beverly Shores, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008.

She was born August 8, 1931 in East Chicago to the late Duncan and Florence (Colville) Mitchell.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Daniel Wigley of Chesterton.

She is also survived by a son, Scott Wigley of Bloomington, daughters, Jan (Mark) Bapst of Dunes Acres and Jill (Kevin) Bird of Bloomington; a brother Robert (Ruth) Mitchell of Cincinnati, Ohio, and two grandchildren, Mark (Eva) Glackman-Bapst and Morgan Bapst.

She retired from the Hoosier State Bank in 1980 as Vice President of Marketing. She was a life long volunteer, most recently a member of the Dunes Women’s Club and the Board of Directors of the Beverly Shores Depot and Museum.

Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 22 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.

Memorial visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m. Ashes will be interred in Furnessville Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Porter County 501 Marquette St., Valparaiso, IN 46383.
