Florence E. Malackowski, (nee Kowalski), of Valparaiso, formerly of Calumet City, passed away March 19, 2008. She was 96.

She was born Oct. 17, 1911 in Calumet City.

She was the wife of Walter J. Malackowski, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by sons, Robert (Joan) Malackowski of Valparaiso and William (Gerry) Malackowski of Chesterton; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

A Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m., Monday, March 24 at Our Lady of Knock Church. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m., Monday until time of prayers at 10:30 a.m. at Hennessy-Nowak Funeral Home, 400 Pulaski Rd. (154th Street), Calumet City.

Memorials may be made to Whispering Pines Nursing Home or Valparaiso Hospice.
