Evelyn M. Krolik, of Chesterton, passed away Saturday,
December 6, 2008. She was 86.
She was born April 19, 1922
in Chicago the daughter of Robert and Stella (Rulich) Niksich, both of whom
preceded him in death.
On August 31, 1944 in
Chicago, she married Stanley Krolik, who preceded her in death in 2000.
She is survived by three
children, Thomas “Rick” (Vicki) Krolik of Chesterton, Judy (James)
Patronagio, of Hot Springs, Ark. and Mark (Gayle) Krolik of Plainfield,
Ill.; eight grandchildren, Kristen Cavanaugh, Eric Krolik, Craig Krolik,
Jill Patronagio, Terri Patronagio, David Patronagio, Joshua Krolik and Chase
Krolik; three great-grandchildren, Madelyn Cavanaugh, Patrick Cavanaugh,
Hannah Krolik; one sister, Ann (Rudy) Jadrich of Chicago.
She was also preceded in
death by a son, Robert Krolik, four brothers and four sisters.
Evelyn graduated from Bowan
High School, Chicago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Patrick
Catholic Church, Chesterton. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was a
resident of Chesterton since 2002 having moved from Lemont, Ill.
A Mass of Christian Burial,
Fr. James Meade officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 at St.
Patrick Catholic Church, 648 N. Calumet Rd. Interment will be Thursday, Dec.
11 at SS Cyril and Methodius Cemetery, Lemonte, Ill.
The family will receive
friends from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd
St. Chesterton. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
