Donald D. Spencer, of Porter, passed away Monday evening, December 29, 2008 at Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus, Valparaiso. He was 59.

He was born October 25, 1949 in Valparaiso.

He is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Richard) Jackson, of Cleveland, Tenn.; mother, Mildred Spencer, of Burns Harbor; two grandchildren, Anna Grace and Spencer Jackson, of Cleveland, Tenn.; a sister, Marcia Milligan, of Park Forrest, Ill.; two nieces, Michelle Marvin and Michae Milligan and a nephew, Matthew Milligan.

Don enjoyed riding motorcycles, loved the outdoors and fishing. He was employed at Waste Management as a truck driver with 20 years service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Funeral services, Pastor Thomas Jones officiating, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 3 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. Burial to follow at Chesterton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at 1 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given to Porter United Methodist Church, 100 Beam St., Porter, IN 46304.
