Dolores “Dee” “Mrs. Van” VanDenburgh, 87, of Merrillville, passed away
Monday, Feb. 11, 2008.
She is survived by four children: Barbara Werner of LaPorte, Brian E.
VanDenburgh of Clay City, Barry E. (Vicki) VanDenburgh of Chesterton, Gerald
W. VanDenburgh of Texas; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; former
daughters-in-law, Linda and Joyce.
She was preceded in death by husband Gerald, daughter-in-law Dorothy
VanDenburgh and son-in-law David Werner.
Dolores was a member of Merrillville United Methodist Church. She was a
member of AARP, a former member of Harvest Bells dance group and a retired
food supervisor and restaurant manager for Howard Johnson, Chicagoland. She
was the matriarch of a large family she loved dearly. She and her husband
loved to travel and visited 49 of the 50 states. She will be missed by all
who loved her.
Funeral service will be Friday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers
Chapel. Services to conclude at the funeral home. Interment will be at Patton
Cemetery, LaPorte.
