Barbara Ann MacLeod, a long time resident of Moriarty, N.M. and formerly of
Chesterton, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2008 in Albuquerque, N.M. She was
73.
She was born June 11, 1934 the daughter of Charles and Barbara (Radl)
Sedlacek in Chicago, both of whom preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband Don; daughters, Victoria L Reith (Dennis) of
Grovetown, Ga.; Marilyn A Hewes (Patrick) of Las Vegas, Nev.; Linda M.
(Larry) Frazier of Oskaloosa, Iowa; Paula E. (Daniel) Vasquez of Albuquerque,
N.M.; sons, Christopher M. (Sheila) MacLeod of Harrisonville, Mo.; Patrick J.
MacLeod of Albuquerque, Joseph W. (Ramona) MacLeod of Albuquerque; 10
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald J. MacLeod Jr.
Barbara enjoyed many things; she was an active crafter of all types and
enjoyed her ceramics most. Barbara was a long time active member of the VFW
and American Legion Auxiliaries. She did many things benefiting people far
and wide. Traveling across the country with her beloved husband Don of 55
years she saw most of the country. She truly and most of all enjoyed time
spent with her family and friends. Barbara left a large family who will miss
her dearly.
A mass, Fr. William Young officiating, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday,
April 21, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, N.M.
A memorial rosary was recited Saturday, April 19, at 1 p.m. at the
Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, N.M.
