Adelaide J. Pagliero, “Addy/Lydia”, of Chesterton, formerly of Lansing and
Riverdale, Ill., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008. She was 90.
She was born June 7, 1917 in Chicago, the daughter of Peter and Teresa
(Marchiando) Biava, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was married to Adolph “Rudy” Pagliero, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by children, Marilynne “Terry” (Vern) Haddon, Kathryn
(Ronald) Cacini and Richard (Beth) Pagliero; grandchildren, Dean (Sarah)
Powell, Michele (Steve) Janke, Ron (Robyn) Cacini, Michael (Amy) Cacini and
Matthew Pagliero; great-grandchildren, Nicklaus, Zachary, Alexander, Alyssa,
Grace, Michael, Jonah, Elly, Will, Ryan, Julie and Jacob; special friends,
Charles Urdiales and Ruby Haddon.
She was also preceded in death by a brother Michael (the late Verie) Biava
and sister, Jeanne Biava.
She was a very social person who loved the companionship found at the senior
center (Waters of Duneland) with her many friends. She was a member and past
president of Paul Gall Post #303 A.L. and member of Pienontese Womens Lodge.
Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church in Homewood.
Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Chicago.
Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m., Sunday at the Ryan Funeral Home 18022 Dixie
Hwy., Homewood, Ill.
