Rosemary Charpentier, of Valparaiso, passed away July 21, 2007 at Horton VNA
Hospice. She was 87.
She was born July 6, 1920 in Valparaiso, the daughter of Wilfred and Eliza (Papineau)
LaBrecque, both of whom preceded her in death.
In 1943 in Utah, she married Raymond Charpentier, who also preceded her in
death.
She is survived by children, Joel (Anne) Charpentier of Chesterton, Roseanne
(Ronald) Talbot of Conn., Diane (Michael) O’Connor of Valparaiso, Thomas
(Kathy) Charpentier of Kouts, Denise (Robert) Talbot of Mass. and Paul
Charpentier of Valparaiso; 24 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one
great-great grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by three children, Gerard, Richard and Marie
Charpentier and siblings Robert and Theresa LaBrecque.
Rosemary worked as a registered nurse at both Porter Memorial Hospital and
Whispering Pines in Valparaiso.
A funeral mass, Fr. Kevin McCarthy officiating, will be at 11 a.m. at St.
Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, Valparaiso.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Bartholomew
Funeral Home,102 Monroe, Valparaiso.
