Paul D. Warren, Sr., of Michigan City, passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007
at his residence in Michigan City. He was 67.
He was born Dec. 12, 1939 in Valparaiso, the son of Walter N. and Lucille (Dille)
Warren, both of whom preceded him in death.
In 1965 in Chesterton, he married Patricia Ward, who survives in Michigan
City.
He is also survived by a daughter, Stacy Long of Michigan City; a son, Paul
(Cindy) D. Warren, Jr. of LaPorte; a daughter, Rochelle (Darrell) Dierdorf
of Michigan City; grandchildren, Jennifer and Emily Warren, Kyle, Colby and
Drake Dierdorf and Seth Long and a brother Walter (Beverly) Warren of
Chesterton.
Paul was a member of the New Buffalo Gun Cub, an avid outdoorsman and
enjoyed playing golf and horseshoes. He particularly enjoyed spending time
with his family. He had been in maintenance at Joy Mfg. for 27 years, and
with Memorial Hospital for six years. Since retiring he had worked at the
Michigan City Municipal Golf Course. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine
Corp., serving two tours in Vietnam.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m., Wed. Feb. 28 at Carlisle Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the service Wednesday. Cremation will
take place.
