Maria (Horvath) Ihasz, of Calamesa, Calif., passed away May 29, 2007 in
Calamesa. She was 65.
She was born Sept. 14, 1941 in Sopron, Hungary, the daughter of Gabor Demeter
and Margaret Imre, both of whom preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Bela Ihasz; two daughters, Carolyn Bigman of
Chesterton and Mary (John) Lazur of Porter; two sisters, Margaret (Joseph)
Frank and Julie Jacobson, both of Valparaiso; grandchildren, Amber, Branden
and Gabrielle Bigman, Elizabeth and Jessica Lazur; a niece, Amanda Jacobson;
Nephew Matt (Melissa) Jacobson and great-grandchildren, Jayda Kuhnow, Jacob
Ritter, Jasmine and Jessica Bigman.
In an obituary for Maria (Horvath) Ihasz that appeared in Wednesday’s
paper, it should have read that she is survived by great-grandchildren
Jasmine Loar and Jessica East.
The Tribune was provided incorrect information.
Private cremation will be in Calamesa. Private memorial services will be
conducted at a later date in Indiana.
