Jean Ann Charlson Good dies at 82

Jean Ann Charlson, of LaPorte, passed away at 9:15 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007 at Fountainview Terrace. She was 82.

She was born June 4, 1925 in Hamlet, Ind. the daughter of Gustave and Laura May (Burlingham) Metzner, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was married on April 4, 1943 in Chesterton, to Norman V. Charlson, who preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1978.

She is survived by two daughters, Violet Watts of LaPorte and Laurie Kreighbaum of Kingsford Heights; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Lester Charlson, four brothers and two sisters.

She worked as a homemaker and also in the laundry department at LaPorte Hospital. She was a past president of the Eagles 2439 in LaPorte.

A funeral service, Rev. Hugh Smith officiating, will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17 at Cutler Funeral Home, 2900 Monroe St., LaPorte. Interment will be at Burstrom Cemetery, Porter.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from Noon to 1 p.m. Saturday.
