Francis H. Kroeger, of Chesterton, died November 24, 2007.
He was born on July 2, 1939, and raised in Duquesne, Pa. the third child of
the late Margaret H. and George B. Kroeger.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judith (Vuick) Kroeger, and by his
three children Eric Kroeger (Lauren), Rebecca Browning, and Paul Kroeger
(Kristin); a brother Robert D. Kroeger of Houston, and a sister Judith Almy
of Valdez, Alaska and seven grandchildren, Marissa and Cara Anne Kroeger;
Charles, Robert, and Theodore Browning; and Gabriel and Olivia Kroeger.
He was also preceded in death by his brother Donald Kroeger and sister
Marjorie K. Blaha.
Fran was a metallurgical engineer with U.S. Steel and worked in management
with Union Rolls Corporation, and he was an independent engineering
consultant with Roll Management Systems at the time of his death. He
graduated from Duquesne High School and Grove City College (Pa.) and he was
awarded a post-graduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
Funeral services will be private.
Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, Nov. 28 from 4-7 p.m. at Edmonds &
Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
