Edie Ameling of Englewood, Florida died peacefully at home Jan. 10, 2007,
after an illness. The former Chesterton resident was 73.
She was born August 19, 1933 in Harmonsburg, Pa., the daughter of Robert and
Alice Lewis.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Jayne Fuller of Englewood,
Fla., sons, Michael Fuller of Columbus, Ohio, John Fuller of Shrewsbury,
Maine and Benjamin Fuller of Chesterton; 10 grandchildren, and seven
great-grandchildren.
Her sister Ada J. Newell, brother Robert Lewis, mother Alice F. Hunt,
father, Robert Lewis and son Samuel Fuller preceded Edie in death.
Edie graduated from Conneautville High School and was a member of several
chorus groups in Pennsylvania and enjoyed singing. An avid costume maker she
competed and won several contests throughout her life and contributed her
time assisting others. A retired Clerk, she lived in Chesterton, for 10
years and worked the past 33 years in the Englewood, Fla.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 13 at Sundown at the North
End of Englewood Beach, FL. Friends and family are welcome. Internment will
be held privately.
