Brandon Fornshell dies at 16

Brandon DeWayne Fornshell, 16, of Youngwood, Pa., passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, Pa.

He was born May 1, 1990 in Camp Lejune, N.C., the son of Lora Ann Fornshell of Youngwood and the late Jeffrey DeWayne Fornshell.

He is also survived by a sister, Lakyn Nichole Fornshell, of Youngwood and a brother, Chadwick Scott Copper, of W.Va.; paternal grandparents Ruth Wandrey of Beverly Shores and Lester W. Fornshell, Jr. of Chesterton; maternal grandfather James E. Thomas, of Ohio; four aunts, Crystal Metheny, of Valparaiso, April Fornshell, of Beverly Shores, Lynn Pyles, of Angola and Debbie Pyles of W.Va., three uncles, Lester Fornshell III, of Atwood, Ill., Chance Fornshell, of Chesterton and Keith Pyles, of W.Va. Several cousins survive.

Brandon was an 11th grade High Honor Student at Hempfield Area High School and upon graduation, planned to attend Notre Dame University to study Architecture.

A memorial service to Brandon’s life was held Friday, Feb. 23, 2007 from the Christ United Methodist Church in Youngwood. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Chesterton, where Brandon will be buried next to his father Jeff.

Local arrangements are under the direction of White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton.
