Ardala D. Bieker, of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, Jan. 8, 2007 at Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus, Valparaiso. She was 71.

She was the daughter of Paul and Juanita (Lee) Steele. Her father preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother, Juanita Coffman of Chesterton.

She is survived by her husband Leldon Bieker, of Valparaiso.

She is also survived by three children, Bryan Bieker, of Valparaiso, Bruce Bieker of Chesterton and Brenda Williams of Big Island, Hawaii; a sister, Mary (Jim) Long of Chesterton; three grandchildren, Gentry, Dustin and Andrew, two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Joel.

Ardala attended 1st Baptist Church of Valparaiso. She was employed in the Pediatric Unit at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso for over 25 years. A graduate of Purdue North Central School of Nursing, she was Valedictorian of her graduating class.

Private Family visitation and services were Thursday, Jan. 11 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton.

Memorials may be given to a memorial fund being established at Porter Hospital Valparaiso Campus, Pediatric Unit in her memory. Memorial checks should be made to Shirley O’Laughlin at Porter Hospital.
