Aaron Lee Self, of Chesterton, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007 at South Bend Memorial Hospital, South Bend. He was 12.

He was born March 10, 1995 in Michigan City, the son of Bob Self of Michigan City and Michelle Darling of Chesterton.

Aaron lived with his mother Michelle and step-father Simon Horn in Chesterton.

He is also survived by grandparents, Robert Self of Texas, Richard and Judy Darling of Chesterton, and Betty Self of Michigan City; great grandmother, Pauline Solley of Chesterton; brothers, Charles Self of Chesterton and Sam and Charles Horn, of England; uncles, Lee Self of Texas and John (Alicia) Kingsley of Texas; aunts, Tammy Smith of Ky., Sheryl Lowder of Michigan City, Susan (Calvin) Lamyt of Dallas, Texas and Sandy (Rusty) Boykin; numerous cousins; two special school friends, Jenna and Bruce; great-uncles and aunts Bob (Alma) Rabe of Jackson Twp. and Bill (Holly) Rabe of Hamlet.

Aaron was in 7th grade at Chesterton Middle School. He loved sports, cars and trucks.

Funeral services, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Interment will be at Chesterton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at 1 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home.
