Susan Kostell “Sue,” of Merrillville, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006 at Methodist Southlake Campus.

She was 93.

She is survived by children, Patricia (Ben) Haynes of Merrillville, David (Ceres) Kostell of Chesterton and Richard Kostell of Valparaiso; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Mesarch of Merrillville and a brother-in-law, Andrew Slivka of Merrillville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kostell; four brothers, Steve, Joseph, John and Michael Chicos; two sisters, Helen Antolick and Ann Slivka.

Susan was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church and Ladies Guild, G.C.U. Lodge #515.

A funeral service, Rev. Michael Evanick officiating, will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Rendina Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday at Rendina Funeral Home, 5100 Cleveland, Merrillville. Altar-Society of St. Michael’s will recite the Rosary at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Prayer service will be at 5 p.m. Monday.
