Service set for Liberty N. Cummins

Liberty N. Cummins, a Madison, Ind. resident who formerly lived in Chesterton and in LaPorte, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2006 at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison. She was 88.

Born in Chicago on Oct. 2, 1918, she was the daughter of Charles F. Kubick and Hilda Seaholm. On June 16, 1938, she married Raymond Cummins, who preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1997.

She is survived by son Larry Cummins of Madison, Ind.; daughter Linda Cummins of Madison; grandchildren Lana DeLong of Bright, Ind., Lisa Langsford of Indianapolis, Lori Cummins of Louisville, Ky., and Brent Cummins of Morgantown, Ind.; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six sisters and seven brothers.

She was the owner/operator of Liberty Cities Services and a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Farm Bureau.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 25, at 10 a.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Interment will be in Chesterton Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans.
