Mildred Jaroll, of Chesterton, passed away Friday, Dec. 8, 2006 at The
Waters of Duneland Health Care Center, Chesterton. She was 91.
She was born Dec. 5, 1915 in Chicago, the daughter of Kalman and Barbara (Marton)
Kurtek, both of whom preceded her in death.
On Nov. 27, 1933 in Chicago, she married Andrew J. Jaroll, who preceded her
in death Feb. 21, 1998.
She is survived by two sons, Edward (Kathy) Jaroll of Orange Park, Fla. and
Thomas Jaroll (Susan Marsh) of Michigan City; a daughter, Lorraine Snape of
Chesterton; nine grandchildren, Gayle (Jim) Vogan of Chesterton, Sandy (Bob)
Iverson of Bowling Brook, Ill., Scott Snape of Beverly Shores, Patti (Ray)
Kuehl of Chesterton, Linda (Bob) Copeland of Alpharetta, Ga., Joyce (Brian)
Duncan of St. Mary, Tenn., Michelle Fryar of Portland, Ore. and Jeanice
Jaroll of Gainsville, Fla. and 12 great-grandchildren, Amber and Tara Vogan,
Jessica and Callie Kuehl, Kyle and Trevor Iverson, Miles and Haley Copeland,
Michael, Christopher and Benjamin Kuhnle.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Jaroll, great-grandson Ryan
Copeland and three brothers.
Mildred was employed as a cook for the Duneland School System, Valparaiso
University and Strongbow Inn. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic
Church. She was a former member of Westport Homemakers Club and Westport
Community Club.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12 at St.
Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N. Calumet Rd. Interment will be at Chesterton
Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Monday at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home,
517 Broadway, Chesterton.
Memorials may be made to the building fund at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
