Michael Samuel Yelton dies at 55

Michael Samuel Yelton, 55, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006 at his home in Ligonier, Ind.

He was born May 8, 1949 in Hammond the son of Franklin R. and Marguerite (Wilsey) Yelton.

In 1971 he married Myra Nibblett, who survives in Ligonier.

He is also survived by two sons, Michael F. and Mark A., along with their wives and children in Ligonier; a twin brother, Jeffrey S. of Chesterton and four sisters, Kathryn Lehman of Topeka, Lenora Johnson of Cape Coral, Fla., Shirley Fleming of Columbia City and Sonja McCalmont of Bonners Ferry Idaho and their families.

Michael graduated from Hammond Tech in 1967 and lived in Hammond until 1973. He was employed by Silgan of Ligonier until his retirement in 1999.
