Madonna R. Alioto “Bunny,” of Lafayette, passed away Friday, Oct. 27, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She was 62.

She was born April 23, 1944 in Gary, the daughter of Harry E. Beach who preceded her in death and Faye W. (Miller) Beach, who survives in Valparaiso.

She is also survived by a son, Michael (Rachel) Alioto of Portage; a daughter, Melody Welch of Rensselaer; a brother, Michael (Becky) Beach of Portage; a sister, Melody DePeugh of Saginaw, Mich. and six grandchildren, Danielle Welch of Brook, Christi Welch, Stephanie Welch, Colton Adair, Bo Welch and Josie Welch, all of Rensselaer.

Bunny was a home maker. She did a lot of work collecting donations and volunteering for Jerry’s Kids. She enjoyed doing crafts and she was people-oriented.

Funeral services, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.

Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Portage Chapel.
