Gilbert John Gall dies at 71

Gilbert John Gall, of Jackson Twp., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006 at VNA Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. He was 71.

He was born May 29, 1935 in East Chicago, Ind. the son of John and Sallie Ann (Sakry) Gall, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Vicki of Jackson Twp.

He is also survived by four children, Joanne (Jeff) Wilson, of Washington Twp., Helen (James) Heavilin of North Judson, Joyce (Patrick) Robinson of Washington Twp. and Edward Gall of Redmond, Oregon; nine grandchildren, Fawn, Amber, Ryan, Kyle, Mitchell, Kylee, Nia, Marek and Lachlan; one great-granddaughter, Emma and one brother, Joseph Gall of Valparaiso.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Gall.

Gall was a life-long area resident and was retired from Local #81. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and family man. He leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship to all who knew him.

Funeral services, Fr. Terry Bennis officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to St. Patrick Building Fund, or to VNA Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso.
