Allen R. Veden dies at 48

Allen R. Veden, of Michigan City, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006 at St. Anthony Memorial Health Center, Michigan City. He was 48.

He was born Jan. 20, 1958 in Valparaiso, the son of Richard Alvin and Mabel (Linderman) Veden, both of whom preceded him in death.

On June 28, 2003 in Valparaiso, he married Pamela Orlich, who survives in Michigan City.

He is also survived by two sons, Allen and Timmy and step-son, David; a daughter, Penny and two step-daughters, Briana and Emily; six sisters, Patsy (Patrick) Prorok of Michigan City, Sandy (Steven) Cawby of Porter, Linda (Gary) Liddiard of Utah, Joyce McMahan of Monticello, Pamela (Dewey) Van Fleet of Porter and Bonnie White of New Jersey and one grandson.

Allen was a carpenter for Carpenters Union Local 1005. He was a former member of American Legion Post 170 in Chesterton.

A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 to inter ashes in Chesterton Cemetery. Cremation at Heritage Crematory, Portage.

Arrangements are under the direction of Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home.
