Todd A. Reed dies at 43

Todd A. Reed, of Chesterton, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 43.

He was born Aug. 26, 1962 in Hammond, the son of Howard Reed, who survives in Burnham, Ill. and the late Nancy (Crary) Reed.

On Sept. 23, 1995 in Munster, he married Kelly S. Row, who survives in Chesterton.

He is also survived by a daughter, Rylee Reed of Chesterton; a brother, Mark (Jennifer) Reed of Burnham, Ill.; a sister, Wendy (Jerry) McFadden of Hammond; three step-sisters, Tracy (Richard) Akard, Lori (Raymond) Sheley and Jomary (Matthew) Baller; a sister-in-law, Sandy (Kevin) Johnson of Ohio; a mother-in-law, Linda Wilber of Chesterton; a father-in-law, Duane (Roberta) Row of Texas; an aunt, Barb (Larry) Eckrich and a step-father, Tom (Elaine) Crary; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was also preceded in death by step-mother Rose Reed.

Todd was employed as a Production Supervisor at Hammond Group Inc. for 24 years and was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage. Cremation will follow at Heritage Crematory, Portage.

Visitation will be from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel.
