Service Tuesday for Jesse W. Tibbetts

Jesse W. Tibbetts of Burns Harbor died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005 in Wisconsin. He was 49.

Born on Oct. 7, 1956 in San Diego, he was the son of Roger and Violet Quast Tibbetts, who survive in Valparaiso.

Also surviving are wife Joann Peek Tibbetts of Burns Harbor; children Frances Tibbetts of Valparaiso, Aron Tibbetts of Lake Station and Adam Tibbetts of Portage; brother Joel Tibbetts (wife Christine) of Valparaiso; sisters Karen Tibbetts of Fort Wayne and Carol Minor of North Carolina; grandchildren Caitlynn, Jade, McKenzie and Sage.

He was employed by Flowserve Corp. of Portage as an assistant plant manager. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, with Pete Englebert officiating. Cremation will precede the services. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made for breast cancer research.
