Ruth L. McCoy, of Chesterton, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005 at her residence. She was 92.

She was born June 23, 1913 in Gary, the daughter of William G. and Olga A. (Kalies) Holman, both of whom preceded her in death.

On Oct. 19, 1933 in South Bend, she married Lawrence H. McCoy, who preceded her in death Feb. 19, 1994.

She is survived by a son, Robert H. McCoy of Chesterton; two daughters, Patricia (Robert) Carstens of Dune Acres and Carolyn (James) Ketcham of Moreno Valley, Calif.; six grandchildren, Erika and Max Carstens, Crystal Ketcham, Lawrence H. and Eric O. McCoy, Tammy Dodd and four great-grandchildren, Seath and Lacy Dodd, Molly and Shannon McCoy.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert W. Holman and a sister, Grace G. Holman.

Ms. McCoy was a home maker.

Graveside services to inter ashes will be at a later date at Chesterton Cemetery. Cremation will be at Heritage Crematory, Portage.

There will be no visitation.

Arrangements were handled by Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Chesterton.
