Robert C. Gonzalez, of Gary, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005 in Gary. He was 49.

He was born Dec. 3, 1955 in Gary, the son of Juan A. and Nives Luz (Cardona) Gonzales, both of whom survive.

He is also survived by a son, Bobbie Gonzalez of East Chicago; brothers, Juan C. (Aida) Gonzalez of Portage, George C. (Linda) Gonzalez of Chesterton and Orlando C. Gonzalez of Indianapolis; a sister-in-law, Debra Gonzalez of Valparaiso; nieces, Michelle (Todd) Ribar of Valparaiso, Annette Marie Gonzalez of Fort Wayne and Kristine N. Gonzalez of Valparaiso and a nephew, Martin C. Gonzalez of Chesterton.

Robert was a life long area resident, self-employed mechanic and a former member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.

A funeral service was at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave. Portage. Interment was at Heritage Cemetery, Portage.

Memorials may be made to The Red Cross.
