Patricia Ryan dies at 80

Patricia A. Ryan, the sister of a Chesterton resident, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, at the Memorial Centegra Hospital in Wood Stock, Ill. She was 80.

She was born March 17, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Thomas J. and Frances A. (Schneider) Perry, who preceded her in death.

She as also preceded in death by her husband, John F. Ryan Sr. and a brother John Perry.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas W. (wife Terry) Ryan of Marengo, Ill., and John F. Ryan Jr. of Greenwood, Ill.; a sister, Donna (husband Keith) Pomeroy of Chesterton; two brothers, James (wife Norma) Perry of East Dundee, Ill., and Thomas F. Perry of Montpelier, Ind.; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and friends.

She was a member and past president of VFW Post 2298 Ladies Auxiliary in West Dundee, Ill., and a member of St. Monica’s Church in Carpentersville, Ill.

Family and friends gathered at St. Monica’s at 11 a.m. Sept. 13 for a funeral mass and luncheon. Many pictures were viewed celebrating Patricia’s life.

Cremation was arranged by Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee, with interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Ill.

Masses and memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
