Martha M. Leffel dies at 54

Martha M. Leffel, of Porter, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005 at Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus, Valparaiso. She was 54.

She was born Nov. 11, 1950 in Valparaiso, the daughter of Gladys Parker, who survives in Chesterton and Robert O. Parker, who preceded her in death.

She is also survived by three children, Joseph Leffel, II, of Bloomington, Jeremiah Leffel of Porter and Jennifer (Stephen) Murphy of Douglasville, Ga.; a granddaughter, Scarlett Murphy; a sister, Sharon (Robert) Sufana of Chesterton; two nephews, Gregory (Heather) Sufana of Chesterton and Jonathan Sufana of Chesterton and a great niece, Allison Sufana.

Martha was retired from Bethlehem Steel Co. She was a member of Faith City Assembly of God Church in Michigan City.

Funeral Services, Pastor Bill Barnes and Stephen D. Murphy officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. Interment will be at Chesterton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given in her memory to a charity yet to be determined.
