Lynn M. Norris dies at 47

Lynn M. Norris, of Chesterton, died Sept. 14, 2005 at V.N.A. Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. She was 47.

She was born Oct. 9, 1957 in Chicago, the daughter of the late James F. Gilmartin and Dolores Baumhardt Gilmartin, who survives in Griffith.

On April 15, 1978 in Whiting, she married Ferrin “Raymun” R. Norris, who survives in Chesterton.

She is also survived by a son, Christopher Norris of Bloomington; a brother, James F. Gilmartin and a sister, Laurie Corman of Dyer; three brothers, William Gilmartin of Chicago Heights, Ill., Dennis Gilmartin and Robert Gilmartin, both of Griffith; numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews..

She was also preceded in death by a brother, James F. Gilmartin.

Lynn was an area resident for 15 years coming from Griffith. She was a retired hostess for Bob Evans Restaurant.

Funeral services, Fr. Terry Bennis officiating, will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Cremation will be handled by Heritage Crematory, Portage.

Friends may meet with the family immediately following the service until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
