Julia Ann Jones (Martin), 72, of Chesterton, formerly of Portage, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005.

She was born June 10, 1933.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy C. Jones and married John A. Martin in 1994, who preceded her in death Sept. 16, 2005.

She is survived by a son, Charles (Deb) Jones of Chesterton; a daughter, Sheila (Alfred) Creech of Portage; five grandchildren, Anthony, Eric and Cassandra Creech, all of Portage; Randy and Daryl Jones of South Haven, a great-granddaughter, Lea Creech of Portage; seven step-children, Greg (Chris) Martin, Patty (Tom) Shumate, Evelyn Komenas, Cathy Martin, Bill (Terry) Martin, Steve (Beth) Martin, Tom (Lynn) Martin, all of Chesterton; nine step-grandchildren; one very special friend, Mary McDonald of Lake Station, along with Katrina, Kaylee and Michael Hines.

Funeral services, Rev. Chuck and Rev. Minnie Munsell officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Hobart.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
