Floyd E. Freels dies at 57

Floyd E. Freels, of Pensacola, Fla. died at his residence Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005. He was 57.

He was born March 20, 1948 in Gary, the son of Donald Freels and Margaret Ray.

He is survived by his father Donald (Katy) Freels of South Haven and a step-father, Forrest Tomlinson of Chesterton; a brother, James (Linda) Freels of Michigan City; four sisters, Bert (Dan) McGlothin of Valparaiso, Pat (Ken) Smith of Michigan City, Ruth (Charlie) Boteler of Valparaiso and Donna Little of Valparaiso; his cat, Boo Kitty, who was a good friend and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Tomlinson.

Mr. Freels was employed as Head Waiter at Oscars Restaurant in Pensacola. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and enjoyed hanging out with his friends.

Cremation will precede a private graveside service at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 at McCool Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage.
