Florence Mary O’Connor, of Chesterton, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005 at Shannon Medical Center, San Angelo, Texas. She was 85.

She was born June 6, 1920 in Chicago, the daughter of James and Catherine (O’Neill) Lennon, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. O’Connor in 2001.

She is survived by a son, Ray (Tanya) O’Connor of San Angelo, Texas.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Chesterton. She was also a member of the Banta Senior Center and was a retired bookkeeper.

A Mass of Christian Burial, Fr. James Meade officiating, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N. Calumet Rd. Chesterton. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of St. Mary’s Cemetery, Evergreen Park. Ill.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. Prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
