Eunice R. Peterson dies at 89

Long-time area resident, Eunice R. Peterson, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005 at Whispering Pines Health Care Center, Valparaiso. She was 89.

She was born Aug. 10, 1916 in Douglas, N.D., the son of Charles and Ada (Erb) Brickner, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Peterson, Sept. 1, 1990.

She is survived by a daughter, Harlean Rieger of Chesterton, three grandchildren, David Rieger of Chesterton, Lorna (James) McMeans of Porter, William Rieger of Chesterton; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and a brother Charles (June) Brickner of Calumet City, Ill.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Earl Brickner.

Eunice was a home maker.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.

Memorials may be made to Porter County Visiting Nurse Association Home Hospice Care.
