Elizabeth A. Fleming dies at 73

Elizabeth A. Fleming, of Michigan City, died Nov. 27, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. in LaPorte Hospital. She was 73.

She was born Dec. 2, 1931 in Michigan City, the daughter of Walter and Evelyn (Glafcke) Clark, both of whom preceded her in death.

On Sept. 4, 1960 in Michigan City, she married James Fleming who preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1990.

She is survived by a daughter, Ann (Richard) Long of Carmel, Ind.; two sons, Bradley Fleming of Sheboygan, Wis. and James M. Fleming of Valparaiso; a step-daughter, Susan (Larry) McGourty of Paso Robles, Calif.; a sister, Judy (Henry) Kroening of Michigan City; a granddaughter, Hannah Fleming; four grandsons, Tyler Fleming, Benjamin Fleming, Samuel Long and Christopher Long.

Mrs. Fleming was a lifelong artist and a member of Trinity Church.

Funeral services, Rev. Eugene Kohlbecker officiating, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 at Trinity Church, 600 Franklin St., Michigan City. Cremation will follow services and ashes interred privately in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City.
